Zachloritika is a picturesque village west of Diakopto at the foot of Mount Marathia. Their church, St. Haralambos, celebrated on February 10. In the village center plane trees waiting to sit in the shade and enjoy your coffee, taking a deep breath from the bustling modern everyday life. The region produces products that are identified with a healthy diet, such as olive oil, oranges, lemons, wine, vegetables, etc.
The mountain, towering volume unfolds over Zachloritika, there is a cave which is identical with that of Hercules. Pausanias mentions the cave that descend from Voura (ancient city) to the sea you can see the river and sees Vouraikos in a cave statue of Hercules. This report constitutes the most reliable evidence about the exact location of the cave that had been dedicated to the worship of the largest demigod of antiquity.
